Project Details:

This project involved the construction of a new 3G artificial sports pitch covering approximately 6,000 square metres. As part of the surfacing works, a porous asphalt layer was installed to provide a durable and free-draining base for the sports surface.

The asphalt was designed to provide a stable, high-quality foundation capable of withstanding the demands of regular sporting use, while allowing effective drainage through the pitch construction. A layer of rubber crumb was then applied above the asphalt as part of the finished 3G artificial surface, helping to provide cushioning, resilience and improved playing characteristics.

The completed surfacing provides a robust and long-lasting platform for the new sports facility, suitable for intensive community and sporting use throughout the year.
